When increased confidence yields increased thought: a confidence-matching hypothesis

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to test the hypothesis that increased confidence generated increased thought processing though traditional thinking stated otherwise. The findings demonstrate that confidence can both increase and decrease processing depending on message framing.

The return of dispositionalism: on the linguistic consequences of dispositional suppression

Article Abstract:

The correction of dispositional inferences does not merely involve the processing of situational information but also entails the suppression of unwanted dispositional inference. Two experiments are conducted using the he Linguistic Category Model technique.
