The Theory of Planned Behavior: Predicting physical activity and cardiorespiratory fitness in African American children

Article Abstract:

The ability of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) to predict African American children's moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA) and cardio respiratory fitness is evaluated. Most of the standardized path coefficients fell in the smell to moderate range, with the strongest effects evident for the predictors of intention and the smallest effect evident for the link from MVPA to cardio respiratory fitness is predicted.

Childhood depressive symptoms, physical activity and health related fitness

Article Abstract:

The relationship of being classified as physically active or inactive by a parent or teacher to depressive symptoms in children is examined. Further, the relationship of playing sports and meeting health related fitness standards to symptoms of depression, one of the serious forms of illness in childhood, is assessed.

Effects of exercise training on quality of life, psychological well-being, immune status, and cardiopulmonary fitness in an HIV - 1 positive population

Article Abstract:

A series of exercise intervention was conducted on several aspects of psychological and physical well-being in a sample of HIV- 1 positive individuals and its effects are mentioned. The exercise group experienced a significant improvement in health related quality of life and cardiopulmonary fitness.
