Bob Prattey

Article Abstract:

Bob Prattey is events director of Birmingham, England's National Indoor Arena (NIA). The centre opened on Oct 4 1991 aiming to provide a world standard sporting and non-sporting venue that would contribute to Bimingham's economic revival. Prattey has focused on community, national and international promotion. Television coverage of events has provided valuable publicity. NIA's expected impetus to inward investment compensates for its current loss-making status. Prattey hopes to extend sponsorship and develop corporate hospitality as an income source.
