Recognition

Article Abstract:

Managers should be aware that staff at all levels like to feel that their achievements are being recognised, and this recognition does not necessarily need to be financial. Correct and regular recognition is the most effective type of reward system, and must be closely connected with integrity and respect on the part of managers for their staff. Managers should always be aware of the impact of their words and actions on their staff, and must recognise that they are responsible for the success or failure of the employee team. Above all, managers must always bear in mind how their staff would like to be treated.
