Article Abstract:

Restaurant furniture should reflect the mood and image of the establishment. Interior designers can help restaurant owners create the right ambiance by selecting colours, materials and design. Themed restaurants enable furniture to follow a particular style and create a concept. Practical features such as stacking chairs or adjustable legs on tables are an advantage. Furniture that can be used outside is another added bonus as many restaurants are using pavement space as an extra eating area. Chairs and tables need to be at the right height for comfortable eating.

Article Abstract:

There are currently more than 420 UK leisure industry companies involved in the Investors in People quality standard initiative, accounting for more than 20% of all employees in the leisure industry. However, this is a relatively low level of participation compared with many other industries. Some leisure industry executives regard the initiative, which aims to encourage companies to look at the way they develop their employees, as helpful and worthwhile, while others feel that it uses up valuable time and resources.
