Win some, lose some at Stanley: record year for London casinos but 20 year low or Cheltenham Festival

The reasons because of which London casinos win margin was affected, inspite of having good turnover are mentioned. The turnover of the company's gaming division increased to 20 percent to pounds sterling 180m, of which 15m came form the seven casinos acquired during the year.

End of the road for travelling circuses?

Article Abstract:

A circus would have to apply for an entertainment permit for each venue on its circuits from April 2005 due to a change in licensing law. Each license fee would be up to 500 pounds sterling and this new legislation has angered many circus bosses.
