Guard cell abscisic acid signalling and engineering drought hardiness in plants

Article Abstract:

Research is presented concerning the influence of guard cells around the stomatal pores in plants in controlling water lost through transpiration and the intake of carbon dioxide for photosynthesis.

A defined range of guard cell calcium oscillation parameters encodes stomatal movements

Article Abstract:

Research is presented concerning the physiological mechanism which controls stomatal regulation in the Arabidopsis plant. The two mechanisms governing stomatal closure through the influence of (Ca2+)cyt are discussed.
