Dimercaptan-polyaniline composite electrodes for lithium batteries with high energy density

Article Abstract:

Incorporation of dimercaptan-polyaniline composite electrodes in lithium batteries helps develop rechargeable batteries with high energy density. The composite mixture of dimercaptan and polyaniline is obtained by solidification from a joint solution. Addition of polyaniline accelerates the slow redox behavior of dimercaptan, producing the required rechargeable electrode material whose gravimetric energy density is more than that of the oxide electrodes used in lithium-ion batteries.
