In retrospect

Article Abstract:

Albert Einstein's 'Autobiographical Notes,' edited by Paul Arthur Schilpp and incorporated into the 'Library of Living Philosophers' series along with contributions from several eminent philosophers, can be regarded as outstanding intellectual reflections. They contain Einstein's views on a wide range of issues, including university education, and give a valuable insight into how Einstein developed his theories of relativity and their basic ideas. The contributions of other philosophers, particularly Kurt Godel and Carl Menger, are also very impressive.
