Article Abstract:

Sereno and Maunsell have considered the question of how object and space related information is integrated. They suggested that there could be visual shape representations in the ventral and dorsal pathways, suitable for visually guided action. This indicates that certain areas of the parietal cortex may be important to switching attention or implementing an intentional movement to particular locations and objects.

Facial expressions linked to monkey calls

Article Abstract:

The authors discuss the study of rhesus monkeys. The ability of these monkeys to match the spoken words with the facial expression has been tested, and the results demonstrate that rhesus monkeys have an inherent ability to match acoustically presented vocalizations with the facial posture.

Neurophysiological investigation of the basis of the fMRI signal

Article Abstract:

Research describing functional magnetic resonance imaging is presented. In particular the relationship between fMRI signals and neural activity is investigated with reference to the visual cortex.
