Article Abstract:

Research shows that the translation or desorption of single ammonia molecules on a copper(100) surface can be induced by tuning inelastic tunnelling electrons. Data demonstrate that scanning tunneling microscope is useful to probe single-molecule events, which facilitate investigation of reaction pathways.

A recyclable catalyst that precipitates at the end of the reaction

Research has been conducted on homogeneous catalysts. The authors report the use of tungsten catalyst for the solvent-free hydrosilylation of ketones which retain the catalyst's activity until the liquid substrate is converted into liquid products.

The author discusses the study of catalysts dissolved in a liquid phase. The catalysts can be recycled after capturing of the reaction products in the supercritical phase, and the discription of the discovered catalyst-storing liquid is presented.
