Peerless Paper Mills Inc (Oaks, PA) has found a 1800-customer niche as a distributor to distributors of janitorial and sanitary supplies. The firm serves customers in 13 states from its warehouses in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Chicago, and Savage, MD. Peerless will begin building 174,000 square foot warehouse and headquarters in Oaks as early as spring 1999, and hopes eventually to become a nationwide distributorship. Peerless has a $10 million inventory of 6500 products, and its annual revenues are about $65 million. The firm is widely respected for its ethics, especially its refusal to market directly to its customers' customers.
