Phila. exchange board to vote on merger, moving options
Article Abstract:
Directors of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange are expected to vote on a preliminary plan that would move the exchange's options business to the New York area, while giving its smaller stock-trading floor a long-shot chance to remain in Philadelphia indefinitely. Directors expect the plan to endorsed by the 21 member board, but the plan would still have to be ratified by two-thirds of the exchange's 505 members in vote that would take place no sooner than February.
