No: pragmatically impotent
Article Abstract:
Chemical castration does not address aggression as the primary motive for sex crimes. The conduct of the sex offender is voluntary and castration will not remove the source of their violent anger but only one means of expressing it. Violent sex offenders hate women and it is pointless to maintain that their behavior has a biochemical cause. The fact that they may plan their crimes for months also goes to disprove the biochemical explanation.
