How students rate employer information sessions
Article Abstract:
A survey of 1,500 students at California-Berkeley University, about information sessions by potential employers, taken in April 1999, indicated that students consider interesting speakers a priority. Most respondents felt that information sessions should be restricted to 1.5 hours. Students also reported a preference for sessions to be held in the early evening and near their main campus.

How students' expected salaries stack up against actual earnings
Article Abstract:
A survey of students at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, TN, indicates that students in most subjects anticipate earning more than is realistic after graduation. Students of education and nursing are more realistic in their expectations because they are better informed.

Student expectations of employers at job fairs
Article Abstract:
Students expect employers to be interested enough to talk to them, look at their resume and have brochures to distribute. They do not like employers who dress casually or those with stands which look unprofessional.
