Compass gets go ahead for check paying by phone
Article Abstract:
Compass International Services Corp., a Woodbury, NJ-based single source provider of outsourced business services, will now be able to offer check paying by phone to consumers following a settlement between its wholly-owned subsidiary and AutoScribe Corp. of Rockville, MD, over Accelerated Payment Systems (APS) products. Under the agreement, subsidiary National Credit Management Corp. has assigned its APS patent rights to AutoScribe in exchange for a royalty-fee license to use the patent and other intellectual property rights for the life of the patent. The settlement reportedly ends the ongoing royalty and legal expenses related to patent enforcement.
