Office politic: a specification guide for offices launched last year is changing industry standards. Both developers and clients are using it as a benchmark because it cuts building and running costs
Article Abstract:
The British Council of Offices Specification for Urban Offices are being used as a yardstick by companies building offices, in spite of the subdued commercial office market. The specifications replaced accepted norms of office design including floor loadings, heating and cooling loads and power-supply capabilities. Many developers see the specifications as an opportunity to save on both capital and running costs.
