Marketing services revs Omnicom earnings spike
Article Abstract:
Advertising and marketing services company Omnicom Group Inc of New York has posted a net income of $172.7 in the 1st half 1999, up by 26% from $137.6 million 1st half 1998. Domestic revenues grew by 20% from 41,205 billion to $1.226 billion, while international revenues climbed by 22% to $1.191 billion from $974.6 million during the period. The company attributed the positive results to its acquisition of direct marketing services, Internet and digital media-oriented companies.

Responsys to add permission marketing agency offerings

Application service provider Responsys Interact of Palo Alto, CA, has announced its Responsys.com Agency Partner Program. The new service is aimed at helping interactive, creative and direct marketing agencies to integrate permission-based direct marketing and e-mail messaging initiatives into their client offering via the Internet. Responsys said tha four agencies have already availed of its program: Momentum Interactive, Passaic Parc Inc, Rizzuti.com and P3M.
