Clutter hurts German Web sites
Article Abstract:
German e-tailers are selling only 20% as much online as e-tailers do in the US. This development is due largely to the fact that most e-commerce sites are not user-friendly. The lag is attributed to the lower penetration of Web access modalities and persistent media accounts claiming that nobody makes money on the Web. Also, e-commerce sites are badly arranged, difficult to navigate, time consuming, costly and not very helpful to surfers.
