Playing in Europe
Article Abstract:
UK construction firms are looking to the European country of Romania as the next major market to expand during 1999. Romania has a population of 22.6 million people and is undergoing a commercial drive lead by Western countries keen to invest in its developing economy. Local government corruption, tax laws and language barriers all present difficulties for companies wishing to work in expanding markets, although rewards will be reaped by those who do their homework and stick with the markets.
