Agreement involves development of biometric-variation ICs
Article Abstract:
STMicroelectronics and Keyware Technologies have forged a deal in Milan, Italy, to jointly develop integrated circuits using Keyware's Layered Biometric Verification (LBV) technology. LBV groups together various biometrics, unique characteristics of an individual's voice, fingerprint or face, in a system called the LBV Security Server. ST's agreement with Keyware will allow the integration of the LBV Security Server system into a chip that can be used for a variety of applications that requires secure identification.
