Solid opportunities for managing swine manure
Article Abstract:
Hoop structures, high-rise houses and liquid/solid isolation are the three systems that accommodate solid manure and facilitate composting and nutrient recovery. All these three systems have reduced or eliminated odor problems at swine facilities.

Meeting the challenges of swine manure management

It is stated that swine manure is a highly concentrated organic material, between 75-90 percent of the major nutrients fed to in the manure. The characteristics of swine manure, its management and alternative technology for the same are presented.
