On the subject of Buddhism Betrayed? A rejoinder
Article Abstract:
A disturbing trend sweeping India is the participation of monks, especially the younger ones, in violent acts. Many concerned sectors are confused with the trend, given the philosophies of peace espoused by Buddhism. However, there have been several precedents for the participation of monks in millennial and rebellious movements and anti-government offensives. In addition, the trend does not exactly mean that all monks are prone to violence.

On some of Lancaster's misinterpretations
Article Abstract:
The book review conducted by Roger Lancaster on the book of Stephen Murray's 'Latin American Male Homosexualities' seems biased because Lancaster has omitted relevant disclosure. Lancaster also questions Murray's authorial objectives by citing the latter's work as unorganized. Although the book which was reviewed offers several insights about homosexuality and ethnographic issues, Lancaster's review has discredited the work.
