Rejoinder to questions about the Fort Bragg Evaluation
Article Abstract:
Response to criticism about the Fort Bragg Evaluation of child psychiatric services clarifies that the provision of intermediate services fails to be of advantage to the Demonstration children. Since service costs to the family are similar at Demonstration and Comparison sites, fiscal differences for the two sites are unlikely to affect results. The generalizability of the results from a military sample to a civilian sample is based on earlier studies, which show that little difference exists between them. Also clarifications about parental involvement and children with serious emotional disturbances are given.

Wrapping services in an urban setting
Article Abstract:
Research into the viability of wraparound services in urban settings for adolescents returned or diverted from the out of state residential treatment proves that these services can yield more encouraging results in the urban areas than has been believed. A study of 121 subjects in Baltimore, belonging to wraparound services group, show more involvement in the community activities and higher levels of community adjustment than those from other non-individualized treatment groups.
