As well as the premier family fashion business, Ferrucio Ferragamo, Chief Executive Officer of Ferragamo SpA, has, since 1993, owned and restored a large Tuscan estate. The estate includes houses, a restaurant and winery, with plans for further wine production with a second winery.

The wines of Hungary's Tokay region were once exquisite, but the country produced horrible wines during the communist years. Some renowned vintners are now interested in making Tokay, and some recent vintages of sweet Tokaji are good.

The taste of properly cellared Champagne

Article Abstract:

A fine Champagne, bottle-aged, is delicious. Disgorged bottles of Champagne may be good, but they cannot compare with bottle-aged Champagnes. A vertical tasting of several vintages is discussed, and all but the 1975s were very good.
