The isolated and war-torn region known as Nagorno-Karabakh, a former Soviet region, is trying to recover its winemaking roots. A partnership between the California-based nonprofit Armenian Technology Group and Karabakhi-owned producer Artsakh Alco is striving to replant ancient sites and revitalize their ancient traditions of winemaking.
