Article Abstract:
An insurance company must have management's full support to avoid failure in implementing expert systems. They enable a company to work faster and on a larger scale. However, expert systems are not inherently beneficial. Education and training are the crucial elements of a successful implementation. It is also important for expert systems to be accepted as a normal part of doing business, to be adequately funded and to be selected carefully.
