Chinese Americans: a rising factor in U.S.-China relations
Article Abstract:
The role Chinese Americans have played in shaping U.S.-China relations is examined. The author argues that since the 1980s Chinese Americans have been active in shaping United States foreign policy toward China, and have been active in political issues which have included China's human rights, their position as most favored nation status, trade disputes, and China's threat to Taiwan.

A study argued that the anti-American boycott of China in 1905 was not a spontaneous action but was planned, coordinated, and carried out by key government officials and businessmen to enhance sales and expand market share for Chinese enterprises.
