Beyond the dirty bomb: re-thinking radiological terror
Article Abstract:
Dirty bombs were the paradigm for radiological dispersion devices for several decades, with the potential to cause mass destruction. However, given the fact that ingestion, inhalation, or immersion (I.super.3) of even a minute quantity of a radioactive material can be deadly, it is necessary to re-evaluate the threat posed by radiological terror.
