Australian politicians make promises to small businesses, which are never fulfilled, thus deterring growth and compelling employers to employ casual workers. Gail Austen, who had previously won the Telstra Australian Business Woman of the Year award, feels that the small businesses have to contend with high tax burden and corruption along with policies, which view employment as business risk.
