The city of London, Ontario, boasts a strong economy that provides jobs for nearly 95% of its residents, while the twin Quebec towns of Jonquiere and Chicoutimi are plagued by unemployment rates in excess of 14%. Several residents of each community comment on economic conditions in their towns.

Violence erupts in the heart of a charmed city

A riot erupted in Quebec City following a celebration of St-Jean-Baptiste Day. About 2000 people, many carrying Quebec flags and chanting nationalistic slogans, broke into a 4-hour riot after converging on Place d'Youville.
