South Park, the adult animation program, went into air in Australia and has delivered SBS its biggest ratings behind soccer's World Cup. The program originated in the US and is the first major ratings success since Simpsons. SBS won a bidding war with the Ten and Seven networks over the third and fourth series for an amount of $880,000. South Park appeals to many, even though it warns views about its content and coarse language.
