Article Abstract:
Czechoslovakia officially divided into the two independent nations of the Czech Republic and Slovakia on Jan 1, 1993. The division was far from universally popular throughout the former Czechoslovakia, and has left the 600,000 ethnic Hungarian in Slovakia uncertain of their future.
