Clinton wants all to gain Net access

The Clinton has launched a campaign to close the widening gap between higher-income Internet users and low-income Americans with no access to the Web. The government said that it will increase computer access to low- income Americans, upgrade the information technology skills of inner-city residents and create an information bank. Among the government's proposals are the expansion of community technology centers and creation of a Digital Divide Network for the poor and rural areas.

Yahoo reaps rewards of Net growth
Article Abstract:
Internet search and services firm Yahoo! Inc reported that its revenue increased 156% from last year and that revenues exceeded Wall Street estimates by 30%. The firm attributes its significant revenue growth to the increasing tendency of advertisers to use the Internet. Yahoo has been transformed from a search engine into a media which offers news, online entertainment, chats and games.
