Examples of this include the purchase by Walhalla Mining Company of Kidz.net Services, which provides electronic censors of online material not suitable for children. The news of the purchase boosted Walhalla's stock price before due diligence was conducted.

Australian electronic communication company Min-Tech 8 bought 30% of the US-based company JFAX Personal Telecom for $1 mil. JFAX was started by the German former rock and roll musician Jaye Muller. JFAX's product is technology that converts faxes and telephone calls into electronic mail. The stock price of Min-Tech 8 went from 8.3 cents to 18.5 cents within one week.
