Client confidentiality and fraud: Does Sarbanes-Oxley deal with the issue?

Article Abstract:

Corporate scandals such as Enron and WorldCom have eroded public trust in accounting, particularly in the ability of the profession to bring financial misconduct to light during audits. The Sarbanes-Oxley Act provides greater assurance that fraud would not occur, that it would be uncovered if it does occur, and that audits committees would be more likely to hear of fraud and act effectively to deter it.
