Special report 'names' versus 'unique identifiers': The 'how' of HIV case reporting
Article Abstract:
The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) requires that states report the names of people with CDC-defined AIDS to the AIDS Registry. 30 states have already established name-based HIV case registries, but 76% of Americans with AIDS live in high incidence states and territories which have refused to undertake name-based HIV reporting. The case for and against name-based reporting is discussed and it is concluded that unique identifiers-based HIV case reporting would be able to collect accurate data without putting the privacy of people with HIV at risk.

Sexual issues in psychotherapy for people with HIV/AIDS
Article Abstract:
The conflicts encountered by individuals afflicted with HIV/AIDS are rooted in the fact that the disease is sexually transmitted. Sexual adjustment problems feature prominently in the four stages of HIV progresion that was outlined. Psychotherapy plays a vital role in the resolution of these conflicts. This goal could only be achieved if psychotherapists are equipped with the knowledge of issues confronting individuals with HIV/AIDS and their responses to it.
