The efficacy of Material Safety Data Sheets and worker acceptability
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to evaluate the acceptability of the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and its effectiveness in diffusing information to workers. In determining the efficacy of an Occupational Safety and Health Act type form, the MSDS is compared with the Chemical Manufacturer's Assn/American National Standards Institute structure and the International Chemical Safety Card. The results of the study as well as recommendations and implications for future research are presented.
