Bucks County ad agency and ad specialty firm stuck with concert's bad checks

Article Abstract:

Michael Stumpf and Associates, an advertising agency in Doylestown, PA, and Kanika, an advertising specialty company, have filed a lawsuit against the promoter of Vetrock '99, a rock concert held at the Naval Air Station Joint Naval Reserve Base in Willow Grove, PA, in May 1999. The companies charged the concert promoter of intentionally defrauding them by issuing bad checks for payment of services it contracted with the agencies.

New advertising agency for dot.com companies

Article Abstract:

Dot Com Agency is a ful-service advertising and public relations company that was established in Philadelphia, PA, to cater to the marketing needs of Internet companies. Steve Carvelli, who set up Dot Com Agency, said that the company's service is ideal for small dot.com firms with annual marketing budgets of less than $10,000. The agency will also launch its own Web site, www.internetadagency.com, in mid-Apr 2000.

Fraudulent Advertising Brings Huge Lien By U.S. Against Area Adv. Agency

A federal tax lien of $518,000 was imposed on Spring House, Penn.-based MJG Advertising Agency for conducting a fraudulent "work-at-home" scheme. MJB, which is led by Michael J. Grasso Jr., allegedly defrauded individuals of approximately $10 million.
