Diamonds in the rough: scouts for baseball's Seattle Mariners use mapping software to cover more territory faster

Article Abstract:

The Seattle Mariners baseball team equips its scouts with MapLinx Corp. software to save time by determining the easiest and quickest way to travel from game to game within their territories. The MapLinx program pinpoints highways and streets to use to reach a certain location. Mariners scouts also can tap into the ballclub's central database of player statistics and other data so that they will be prepared when they watch a game.
