Creating an attractive executive office that is a functional workplace and projects a good image becomes a genuine asset. Suggestions for building an office that delivers a welcoming, but businesslike, message include: analysis of the workday, vistor needs, selection of suitable desk, chairs and tables, placement of telephone, typewriter, calculator and other materials, color preferences, placement of photographs, diplomas or awards and use of wall treatments. Numerous guidelines imply that an executive's office can have psychological as well as economic impact.
