Jordan McGrath yields; after years of entreaties, it agrees to sell, joining Havas and Euro RSCG

Article Abstract:

Havas Advertising of Paris will buy New York-based ad agency Jordan McGrath Case & Partners for an undisclosed amount but presumed to be around $60 million. Havas gains a large share of the US market in the deal; Jordan McGrath gains access to Havas' healthcare category and international reach. Havas is the 7th largest ad agency in the world with estimated billings of $7.7 billion; Jordan McGrath's estimated billings are $600 million.

Capital One, a marketer steeped in information about its customers, picks its first outside agency

Article Abstract:

Capital One Financial Corp. needs varied marketing and advertising services on a global basis, so the financial services giant hired D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles Communications in New York. The account could end up being a $100 million account for the agency and its other affiliates. Besides the agency's 'breadth of resources,' it also did not have any conflicts with other clients in credit cards, telecommunications or insurance.
