Energy Crisis Tests Management Style Of New President

Article Abstract:

When the energy crisis first became critical in California and was affecting other states as well, California Gov. Gray Davis was in Sacramento attending to it while Utah Gov. Michael Leavitt called the White House. President George Bush who was busy with policies asked his economic policy team which included Vice President Dick Cheney to handle the energy crisis and develop a comprehensive policy for the country.

A Danish Island touts clean energy, but reality sets in

Article Abstract:

Denmark has created an alternative energy utopia on the island of Samsoe. However, efforts to add electric cars, wind power, solar panels and large straw-burning furnaces have met with mixed results. The Danish government is discontinuing alternative energy incentives to save moneys.

Bush Mideast plan is set back by bombing, rocket attacks

US President George W. Bush's plan for peace between Israel and the Palestinians received a setback from a suicide bombing in Jerusalem. In response, Israel launched military strikes against Palestinian targets in the Gaza Strip.
