Kerry Brown asserted that the public must be cautious in making generalizations about China in his work entitled, "Struggling Giant: China in the 21st Century". However, it was found that Brown himself was not careful with the details and assumptions he had included in his work. The impacts of the world's view of CHina on the future of the nation are examined.

The UNESCO World Heritage convention chooses historic sites that can be regarded as a heritage for all humanity. The recognition means the transformation of historic sites into tourism spots in China.
