Struggling Giant: China in the 21st Century

Article Abstract:

Kerry Brown asserted that the public must be cautious in making generalizations about China in his work entitled, "Struggling Giant: China in the 21st Century". However, it was found that Brown himself was not careful with the details and assumptions he had included in his work. The impacts of the world's view of CHina on the future of the nation are examined.

China's preservation destruction

Article Abstract:

The UNESCO World Heritage convention chooses historic sites that can be regarded as a heritage for all humanity. The recognition means the transformation of historic sites into tourism spots in China. The inclusion of Beijing's Forbidden City and other Chinese sites, to the World Heritage list is discussed further.

Afghanistan's president Hamid Karzai has gained the goodwill and trust from his countrymen by his actions and his words. He signed the new constitution in January and is turning the war torn country into a center for international cooperation.
