Super Lynx Mk 88A

GKN Westland Helicopters officially unveiled on Jul 14, 1999, the first of the German Navy's new Mk 88A Super Sea Lynx at the company's plant in Yeovil, Germany. Touted as the most capable Lynx variant, the Mk 88A is equipped with BAe Matra Sea Skua air-to-surface missiles, Marconi Sea Spray 3000 radar, multi-role turret and Rolls-Royce Gem 42 engines. Meanwhile, GKN Westland is manufacturing 13 new Super Lynx for The Republic of South Korea Navy.

EC145/BK117C-2 - it's official
Article Abstract:
Eurocopter announced that it will jointly develop with Kawasaki the EC145 helicopter. The tail section and other parts of the EC145 will be built by Kawasaki. The front cockpit section, which will be based on the EC135, will be provided by Eurocopter. The EC145, which will be powered by two Turbomeca Arriel 1E2 engines, is said to have low drag, vibration and noise levels. Kawasaki will market the EC145 in Southeast Asia as the BK117C-2.

EC145 arrives
Article Abstract:
Eurocopter will launch the EC145 medium-twin utility helicopter at the Heli-Expo 2000 to be held in Las Vegas, NV. The helicopter, which is powered by two Turbomeca Arriel IE2 turboshaft engines, has the ability to hover in ground effect at 4700 meters for mountain rescue operations. Eurocopter's EC145 features the revised and stretched BK117 main cabin and rear fuselage.
