Ukraine's leader ousts ministers amid feuding

Article Abstract:

President Viktor Yushchenko of the Ukraine has dismissed his government amidst bitter infighting with accusations of political corruption. Mr. Yushchenko said cabinet ministers "completely mistrusted each other" and "lost their team spirit". Mr. Yushchenko came to power in the Ukraine with the Orange Revolution a year ago.

BP shake-up takes aim at bureaucracy: management layers, jobs to be eliminated; "step-by-step" recovery

Article Abstract:

UK petroleum firm BP PLC announced a restructuring plan that involves hiring more field engineers but cutting office positions. The plans also include returning two major US-based refineries back to full capacity. In addition, BP has some large-scale projects that are slated to come onstream at the end of 2007.
