Surface stabilized nanosized Ce(sub x)Zr(sub 1-x)O(sub 2) solid solutions over SiO2: Characterization by XRD, Raman, and HREM techniques

Article Abstract:

Investigations of the Ce(sub x)Zr(sub 1-x)O(sub 2) solid solutions deposited over silica are carried out in order to understand the role of silica support and the temperature stability of these composite oxides. Raman measurements indicate the presence of oxygen vacancies, lattice defects, and displacement of oxygen ions from their normal lattice positions in both the samples used.

Identification of surface species on titania-supported manganese, chromium, and copper oxide low-temperature SCR catalysts

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to determine the types of adsorbed species resulting from the adsorption of NH3 and NO, and to understand their role in order to propose a mechanism for the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NO. The result reveals that the survival of these adsorbed species at elevated temperatures was used to compare the relative strength of different acid sites.
