Surface characterization of Ga2O3-TiO2 and V2O5/Ga2O3-TiO2 catalysts

Article Abstract:

The techniques of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, FT-infrared, and O2 chemisorption were employed to characterize a specially obtained Ga2O3-TiO2 mixed oxide and V2O5/Ga2O3-TiO2 catalyst calcined at different temperatures from 773 to 1073 K. The characterization results suggest that the Ga2O3-TiO2 mixed oxide, calcined at 773 K, primarily consists of a mixture of TiO2 anatase and alpha-Ga2O3.

Adsorption of molybdate monomers and polymers on titania with a multisite approach

Article Abstract:

Adsorption of molybdate monomers and polymers on the surface of the titanium oxide using charge distribution - multisite complexation (CD-MUSIC) approach is presented. It can be concluded that the high-affinity adsorption of molybdates on titania surface are observed at very low Mo levels.

Study of gamma-alumina-supported hydrotreating catalyst: I. Adsorption of bare MoS(sub 2) sheets on gamma-alumina surfaces

Article Abstract:

The adsorption of bare MoS(sub 2) sheets was studied where no promoter was considered. A periodical FW-DPT approach that makes use of crystal periodic boundary conditions and symmetry, and consequently, and that better describes the two systems and their interactions is proposed.
