From storage to superior service

Article Abstract:

EMC Corp, maker of the Symmetrix line of data storage products, has grown dramatically largely on the strength of its world-class support infrastructure. Revenues have increased from $190 million in 1990 to $3.97 billion in 1998. Support has been a major focus for the company, which, to demonstrate that it is value-added, derives only 1.5 of its revenues from services.
