Sharp unveils software development center in Bangalore

Article Abstract:

Sharp Corp has established an offshore software research facility in Bangalore, India. The facility called Sharp Software Development India (SSDI) will develop software for Sharp's Digital Imaging and Digital Document Systems groups. Both units manufacture digital copiers, printers and multi-function electronic products sold under the Sharp brand. SSDI expects to earn $8 million in revenues during the next three years.

A woman who gives psychic readings for a living is often met with skepticism, fear, or outright disdain. When she tells people what she does, they sometimes immediately list all of the reasons they do not believe in psychics. Even clients who have had extraordinarily accurate readings from her will discount everything if she cannot provide one minor piece of information.

Vigilance Is Needed

Article Abstract:

Most studies show the use of video display terminals (VDT) is not a threat to the physical health of employees. This should not preclude economic considerations in selecting new equipment. Employee discomfort is still a consideration.
